Bike Fest ’09

Join us to celebrate Bike Week at the Ecoliving Fair

Get on your bike and join Waverley, Woollahra and Randwick councils in promoting cycling as a healthy and sustainable form of transport at the annual Ecoliving Fair.

Visit the Bike Fest ’09 space at the Ecoliving Fair if you are already a cyclist or want to know more about riding. There will be bike stalls, free advice, workshops, giveaways and cycling information. Ride your bike to the fair and enjoy the free bike valet parking.

WHEN: Sunday 27 September 2009, 10.30am to 3.30pm
WHERE: Randwick Community Centre, 27 Munda Street Randwick
(turn off Bundock Street south into Hendy Avenue then right into Marida Street)

What’s on at the Bike Fest ’09

ALL DAY:

  • FREE Bike valet parking at the entrance to the Fair
  • FREE Bike check-ups

11.00-11.30pm:    

  • Kids bike challenge: Kids - bring your bike for the SLOW BIKE RACE, all ages, no stabilisers

11.30-12.15pm:    

  • Workshop: Recycling Bikes, Andy Boothroyd, TransitionSydney

12.30-1.15pm:    

  • Workshop: Fixing a Pucture, Chris Moore

2.30-3.00pm:

  • Kids bike challenge: Kids - bring your bike for the great SLOW BIKE RACE.

Local bicycle user group BIKEast...

...will be leading a guided ride from Centennial Park to the Fair.

Registration is essential. Registration details will be posted soon.

Free bike checks ups...

...on offer between 8.00am and 10.00am on Sunday 27 September, at Bike Bar Bici 228 Oxford Street, Bondi Junction.
