Sustainable Gardening course

This could be your great growing adventure of the year… growing in the organic garden, that is.
Organic growing is a matter of putting first things first… we start with building a healthy, nourishing soil for our home or balcony garden… then propagating our plants… planting them into our nourishing soil… watering them… protecting them from voracious vegetarian insect pests… and watching them grow.
Permaculture in the garden is organic gardening + design, and that’s just what we will learn to create productive small gardens that produce flourishing and tasty plants that nourish mind and body. What better way to spend five Saturday afternoons?
This is a hands-on course to build your skills and knowledge and, best of all, it’s held in the Randwick Sustainability Hub’s Permaculture interpretive Garden.
This course runs over 5 Saturday afternoons starting 22 October between 1-5pm.

Getting the sustainability message across

TIME: 7pm to 9pm
WHERE: Randwick Community Centre, 27 Munda Street Randwick

Want to create change but find that there's nobody listening?
Join us in this 5 week course on Thursday evenings to find out how.
What if you could craft your message so that it's engaging, inspiring and sticky. Learning how to get your message across and creating effective behaviour change is just what this innovative and timely course is about.
We will practice how to create short, sharp presentations that engage and enthrall, how to structure conversations that lead to change, how to lead sustainability tours at educational venues and how to create interactions for learning, not lecturing.
Bookings, go to City East Community College website:
