Join our experiment in making a...

Wicking Bed and planting out the permaculture garden

Join us for a working bee to help establish a wicking bed in the new raised garden bed made from recycled timber.

We will also be 'planting out' in other areas of the garden in the newly installed garden bed made from eWood.

WHEN: Monday 1 August, 1:30pm-3:30pm

WHERE: Barrett House, 6 Barrett Place RANDWICK

Please wear sturdy shoes, clothes for gardening  - all materials provided (feel free to bring your favourite gardening gloves if you have some).

Steve Batley, a permaculture landscape architect has worked with Permaculture East and Randwick Council to produce the garden design. Construction of the hard landscaping features have been completed. Permaculture East convenor, Peter Driscoll is ready to get to work in the garden.

As mentioned under Shelter, some sustainable households may choose to produce their own renewable energy, while others may choose to purchase it through the grid from a power company that harnesses sustainable sources (also mentioned previously are the methods of metering the production and consumption of electricity in a household).
