Whether you are designing a new garden or maintaining an existing one this course gives simple, practical permaculture design tips and explores ways to build healthy soil which leads to healthy plants; using organic pest management strategies and being water wise in the garden. Create your Native Haven - 3 sessions

Learn how to create gardens that mimic nature's ecological balance by developing a range of habitats for all sorts of creatures from tiny native bees, frogs, fairy wrens and blue tongue lizards.

Living Smart course - runs over 6 Saturday afternoons

This innovative and participatory course covers all aspects of successful, modern and sustainable living: energy, water, food, biodiversity, the healthy home, transport, waste and - importantly - our health. We explore how we can take realistic initiatives and set achievable goals to deal locally with global issues such as global warming, peak oil, food security, water deficiency and others (www.livingsmart.org.au).

This project is supported by the NSW Governement's Climate Change Fund.
